SERVICES
DreamWorks Therapeutic Learning Center provides a variety of Recreational Therapy services to children and their families throughout Eastern North Carolina. We are able to provide services to the following counties: Bladen, Brunswick, Columbus, Cumberland, Durham, New Hanover, and Wake. These services include recreation therapy consultation, recreation therapy services, academic tutoring, and professional development and staff training. Recreation Therapy Consultation
Through consultation, our therapist is able to team up with other child professionals to provide technical assistance and brainstorm ideas to help a child achieve goals that may prove to be more challeging or more leisure based than therapeutic based. Consultations may be conducted via face to face contact , phone, email, or Skype, depending on location and individual need.
Recreation Therapy Services
Our Recreation Therapy services can be delivered in an individual or group setting. All services include assessment, individual treatment plan, implementation of plan and evaluation of plan.
Does your child receive special accommodations through early intervention or the public school system? If so, he/she may be eligibleto receive recreation therapy as a related service though Section 300.34 of IDEA act. Take a look at some of the activity programs that we offer.
Academic Tutoring (only offered in Bladen County)
We offer academic tutoring to children ages 4-17. Tutoring is provided in controlled enviroment at our office by our learning specialist who has over 30 years of education experience. Subjects include English/ Language Arts, Science, History/Social Studies, Reading, Study Skills, classroom management skills, and test preparation. We provide families with weekly progress reports.

Professional Development and Staff Training
If you or your agency work with children in any capacity, our specialized trainings present a prime opportunity to expand the knowledge base of interaction of your employees. Trainings can be customized to reflect the need of your agency.
Trainings offered include cultural diversity, effective team building, and therapeutic intervention implementationtraining. DreamWorks Therapeutic Learning Center is also available to provide conference presentations and workshops on a variety of topics including ADHD, anger management, conflict resolution, stress management, and many others.
